Australian Geological Heritage Gardens

On 7 July 2010 the NCA launched the Australian Geological Heritage Gardens at the the Lindsay Pryor Arboretum. The gardens will display the richness and diversity of Australian geology with substantial iconic rock specimens from each state and territory.

Anzac Parade Pavement Reconstruction

The reconstruction of the Anzac Parade east and west carriageways between Limestone Ave, Fairbairn Avenue and Constitution Avenue was conducted over a three year period (2008-2010).

Kings Avenue Overpass

Traffic Update: The planned closure of the Russell Roundabout on Saturday 4 September has been postponed due to predicted rain. The all-day concrete pour at the Kings Avenue overpass construction site will be rescheduled to another Saturday.  The National Capital Authority will continue to monitor the weather forecast, and advise when the work will now be undertaken.

RG Menzies Walk reconstruction

The Canberra Central Parklands Master Plan is underway. The RG Menzies Walk is now complete. A four and a half metre wide promenade has been constructed on the northern shores of Lake Burley Griffin.

York Park Oak Plantation
