Friends of the Grasslands Print Write e-mail

The National Capital Authority manages a number of Conservation Management Areas within Canberra, including

  • Stirling Ridge, Attunga Point and Scrivener Hut.
  • Yarramundi Reach Grasslands.

Friends of Grasslands, each year hold a number of work parties and wildflower walks on these conservation sites. Planned events on national land in 2012:

  • FOG/Fenner Working Bee, Scriveners Hut, Capital Hill (9:00am–4:00pm, Sun 5 Feb)
  • Conservation of Stirling Park Public Meeting, Yarralumla (7:00–8:30pm, Tues 21 Feb)
  • FOG/Fenner Working Bee, Stirling Ridge (9:00am–4:00pm, Sun 4 March)
  • FOG/Fenner Working Bee, Stirling Ridge (9:00am–4:00pm, Sun 22 April)
  • FOG/Fenner Working Bee, Stirling Ridge (9:00am–4:00pm, Sun 5 May)

Wear appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes (no thongs/sandals), a hat and bring water.
