How do I join the conversation?

There are several ways in which you can join the conversation. You can comment on a topic (registration required), send in your thoughts, complete a survey or attend a public information session.

How can I register as a user of the Have Your Say?

Go to Registration and fill out your details. You will be asked to provide a name, username, email address and password. The name and username can be a pseudonym. An email will be sent to your nominated email address to verify your account.

Why should I register of the Have Your Say?

You need to register if you would like to participate in any of the open discussion boards.

You do not need to register if you would like to send us your written comments, complete a survey or vote on a poll.

How do I cancel my registration?

How can I update my details?

Once you are logged in, you can update your details be visiting the Your Details.

How do I make a comment?

To make a comment you need to register. Once you have registered simply click on the link under a topic, or navigate to a specific topic and leave your comment.

When making a comment, please ensure you have read and agree with our Moderation Policy and Terms of Use. Comments are limited to 1000 characters, and you have 15 minutes in which to make your comment, after which time the system will log you out for security reasons.

Use the Write to Us form if you wish to make a comment that is longer than 1000 characters, or want to add an attachment.

How to do I make a submission?

Use the Write to Us form if you would like to submit your comments privately. This form also allows you to attach a document in PDF, DOC or RTF format.

How can I subscribe to a topic?

If you wish to subscribe to a topic, press the 'Subscribe' link above the comments box. This will allow you to follow the conversation. An email will be sent to you every time someone posts something under this topic.

How can I subscribe to a thread?

If you wish to subscribe to a thread or a particular user’s comments, first you need to reply to a user and then press the 'Notify me of follow-up comments'. This is located below the comments box. An email will be sent to you every time someone replies to your message or the original message.

How do I unsubscribe from a topic or a thread?

To unsubscribe from a topic or a thread press on the 'Unsubscribe' link on any of the received emails. When you press that link, your internet browser will open, and from that point onwards you have unsubscribed.

You can also press on the 'unsubscribe' link above the comments box.

How do I subscribe to RSS feed?

To subscribe to the RSS feed click on the 'Have Your Say RSS Feed' link on the right hand-side of the webpage.

How do I subscribe to a topic RSS feed?

To subscribe to the a topic RSS feed click on the 'RSS feed for comments to this post' link just above the comments box.

How can I report a comment to the Administrator?

You may report a comment to the administrator by pressing on the 'Report to administrator' link below the message you wish to report.

Forgot your Username or Password?

If you have registered on the Have Your Say website and have lost your username or password please follow the process below:

Visit the 'Forgot your Password' page and follow these steps:

• Insert email address.
• Once you have submitted your details, an email will be sent to you with a token. You need to reset your account immediately as the token will expire and you will need to go through the process again.
• Important: If you do not receive an email with your activation code within a few minutes, please check your SPAM folder.
