Water Quality Condition Reporting
The Authority provides weekly updates on the water quality of the lake on its website. This information is available on Friday each week from mid October to mid April, when the use of the Lake is expected to be high.
When the situation is warranted, due to changes in water quality conditions, additional reports are listed on the web site. Information also supplied through the local media as required.
Water quality in the Lake is subject to environmental variations in the lake and in its catchments. The users of the Lake are encouraged to notify the National Capital Authority whenever they see any environmental problems, such as spills or releases of waste, including discolouration of water potentially caused by an algal bloom.
